Chris Fischer is a board-certified Adult Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who is dedicated to preventive care and evidence-based medicine. His patient-centered healthcare plans focus on health promotion, well-being, and disease prevention. Chris chose to work in Internal Medicine to build long-lasting patient-provider relationships. Chris has a comprehensive medical background. After practicing as a medical assistant for six years he returned to school to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Denver College of Nursing. As a registered nurse, he grew to appreciate the need for primary care providers and the role nurse practitioners play in delivering patient care. This appreciation led him to pursue a master’s degree from the University of Colorado specifically focusing on adult care. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors in beautiful Colorado. He likes running, hiking, gardening, cooking, traveling, and spending time with his family, friends, and two dogs.
